Still going strong!

Well we are into the 2nd month of renovations and are really starting to see an end in sight.
Friday morning dad and Kenny went ahead and added the salt to the pool....400 lbs. of it!  During the day on Friday our tilers came out and fixed a place in the kitchen floor that was sticking up slightly.  They also replaced the tile in the upstairs shower that we had to remove to fix some plumbing problems.  I am very happy with the shower, they did a great job of matching the tile up.  It's amazing how hard it is to match white!
Saturday we got a lot done.  Dad, Kenny and Ronny were able to get the kitchen ceiling up and Ronny put 2 coats of primer on it.  I am really happy with the ceiling.  It looks GREAT!  While they were doing that, Treva and I knocked out the trim in Audrey's room.  I prayed really hard that the trim fairy would show up and paint it all for us...but no such luck. lol.  I really do not like painting trim.  However, we were able to get Audrey's room done and now her room can be added to the DONE list. :-)  Treva and I also went ahead and put a coat of paint on all the quarter round so that once the guys put it in the house we wouldn't have to get way too low on it and chance hitting the hardwood floors.  We had planned on replacing the windows in the den this weekend, but unfortunately they did not come in.  So that project will be done this week or this weekend.
Sunday Ronny and Kenny caulked the kitchen ceiling and then Ronny painted it.  Mom, Treva and I put the second coat of white paint on the judge's paneling in the dining room.  While we were doing this, dad and Kenny began laying the quarter round and then Kenny caulked it.  The humidity was very high on Sunday, so we weren't able to paint the quarter round, but once we paint the baseboards in the office and dining room they will both be on the DONE list.  YAY!  A few hours before lunch, Ronny and Treva had to head out for a birthday party and mom had to go to work, but we were able to get the first coat of paint on the trim in the sunroom before she left.  I spent the rest of the day painting some doors and trim in the upstairs bedroom and then took a break to relax in the pool before mowing the yard.  I did not push mow it this time, I have learned my lesson on that one.  Kenny and Dad worked on getting the guest bath upstairs put back together.  They put the beadboard back up and chair rail.  Then they added the crown molding and Kenny caulked everything.  I was able to put a coat of paint on the beadboard behind the toilet and then they set the toilet.  It is so nice to have that room put back together.  I also bought a new shower curtain this weekend for that bathroom and am very anxious to hang it up.  Dad and Kenny also added a step coming out of the sunroom onto the deck.  Thank gosh, now no one will break their neck coming out of that door!
We also realized this weekend that we have a "pet" snake that is living in our pump house.  I am not thrilled about this AT ALL...but Kenny is because it's a King Snake so he'll keep all the other snakes away.  I don't care what kind of snake it is, they all creep me out.  Needless to say, until Fred (that's what we named him) leaves, I will not be going near the pump house.  So please don't ask me to! haha.
We also got word at the end of last week that our cabinets are going to be delivered on the 11th and will be installed on the 12th. I am sooooo anxious to see them!
Thanks once again to mom, dad, Ronny and Treva for alllllllllll your help.  I promise one day you all will have your weekends back. Also thanks to Whit for keeping us fed!

The pool, yes that is one of the main drains in the deep end!  Words can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see the bottom in the deep end.  2 weeks ago you couldn't see the 2nd step in the shallow end!  (Also if you look closely you can see a few pebbles in there, compliments of Grayson Michael, lol).
